Reflections of 2020

At the start of 2021 our church took time to look back on 2020. It was a year unlike any other year in living memory, the main trouble maker being the Covid-19 virus.

Hundreds of deaths each day can lead us to see the statistics rather than the hundreds of friends and families, each of whom is suffering loss.

Someone has recently put me on a mailing list which is updated each month with positive things which have happened or are about to happen.

It reminded me of an article by Oprah Winfrey, the American Talk Show hostess, in which she said how she had started finding five things to be thankful about each day. How she had found this quite difficult at first, but how it had become easier as the days went by. It changed her outlook on life as well, resulting her becoming more positive and thankful.

As we look back on 2020 all of us has many things to be thankful for. I would encourage you to look and I believe that you will be surprised how many things will come to mind.

Enjoy the following Indian saying, "It'll be alright in the end, if it isn''t alright then it isn't end"
